Cristiano Ronaldo holds the status of a celebrity. The Portuguese superstar extends that influence to his loved ones too. In a noteworthy turn of events, while CR7 returns from a disheartening loss on international duty, his sister, Katia Aveiro, finds herself on the receiving end of some special gifts, courtesy of Luis Suarez’s ex-club. No, it’s not Barcelona or Liverpool!
Aveiro is currently exploring Brazil along with her family. The businesswoman decided to make a surprise appearance last night during the Campeonato Gaucho SF leg 2 between Gremio and Caxias, along with her husband, Alexandre Bertolucci. As compiled by Radio 98 FM, Cristiano Ronaldo’s elder sister came to show her support for Gremio’s colors. Interestingly, Aveiro, also a renowned Portuguese singer, was presented with a team shirt bearing her name on the back above her brother’s No. 7. In fact, Katia wasn’t alone in receiving presents.

Gremio also handed over two other shirts to the 46-year-old: one for Cristiano Ronaldo and one for their mother, Dolores Aveiro, who recently admitted that she is a fan of the Brazilian club. Notably, Katia revealed that her fondness for Luis Suarez’s former club stems from her son-in-law Alexandre’s influence. Likewise, CR7’s family has a strong affection for Brazil. The 5x Ballon d’Or winner’s sister is involved in business activities in Rio Grande do Sul and owns a restaurant in Gramado, a renowned tourist spot in the Serra Gaucha region.
This was quite a heartwarming gesture towards Cristiano Ronaldo’s close ones. While the Al Nassr star, who also received a gift from Gremio, would be looking to thank the Brazilian side, his mind currently lies on the unfortunate loss he endured with his nation.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal endure a rapid fall from grace
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to the National Team didn’t unfold as anticipated. Yesterday, Portugal faced a shocking 2-0 defeat against Slovenia, halting Roberto Martinez and his team’s 11-game winning streak. It was a lackluster performance overall, with Portugal managing only 2 shots on target despite dominating possession with 64%. In fact, the loss even led Ronaldo to drop the F-bomb!
Ronaldo, on his way to the tunnel after the game, was observed gesturing towards the fourth official, Dejan Balazic. He reportedly said “F**k you“ and displayed two fingers to the official. This outburst stemmed from his frustration over two denied penalty appeals during the match. Nevertheless, it’s just a major setback for Ronaldo, as his greatness remains intact, highlighted by the thoughtful gestures from Gremio.
