Following their dominant win against Al Ittihad, Al Nassr is confident. They sit 2nd on the table, 7 points behind Al Hilal with a real chance of winning the title. Hence, it seems the upper management wants Cristiano Ronaldo and the squad to stay focused ahead of the crucial part of the season. Ahead of the New Year, Luis Castro & the Al Nassr board have presented their players with strict policies including penalties amounting to six figures barring Ronaldo. What could this be about?

Al Nassr’s last match of the year will be against Al-Taawoun on December 30th. Following that, the squad will regroup to face Al Fateh after the 6-week winter break. From the looks of it, Castro & Co. wants to keep the discipline levels high ahead of the break.

As per reports, Head Coach Luis Castro along with the club CEO Guido Fienga have imposed fines on the players. This applies to foreign players as well as Saudi Arabian players who are late to training. Bizarrely, the fines collected till now have been said to amount to more than $100,000. It seems like a lot of players are taking liberties with the training schedule. Players who fail to pay the fine will see the corresponding amount deducted from their monthly salary. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s name was not among the players fined. This means CR7 reportedly has not even missed a single minute of training!

With 19 goals in 17 games, the Portuguese superstar is the top-scorer in the league and it’s safe to say his efforts are getting the desired results. However, Cristiano Ronaldo has always been a sharp trainer. The 38-year-old was even spotted training on Christmas. A teammate of his recently unveiled the training regimen of the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner. His dedication is something everyone can take note of.
