Luis Castro and his men will be on cloud nine following the team’s historic 5-2 win over Al Ittihad. The team heading into the game had a disastrous record against the defending Saudi Pro League champions failing to bag a win against their rivals for over eleven games, with their last win coming on 24 December 2018.
Al Nassr had a rocky start to the game with Al Ittihad’s Abderrazak Hamdallah providing his team with the opening goal. However, Cristiano Ronaldo did not take too much time to level things up as he converted a penalty in the 19th minute to bring the score to 1-1. Talisca then provided his team with the lead heading into the second half with a goal in the 34th minute.
Hamdallah pulled Al Ittihad back into the game with a goal in the second half to level the game. However, a red card against Fabinho turned the game on its head with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane finding consecutive goals to help their side bag a grand win over their opponents. Despite, the club landing a historic win, the headlines will surround Ronaldo who continues to make history throughout his stint in Saudi Arabia.
