Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration-less first goal in the Saudi Arabian league has left many of his fans wondering why the superstar striker didn’t take the time to enjoy the moment. Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has finally given the fans what they have been waiting for. He scored his first goal for his new club Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first goal for his new club Al-Nassr came in the 93rd minute of their match against Al-Fateh on February 3. The Portuguese striker stepped up to take a penalty for his team in the dying moments of the match. Ronaldo, with absolute beauty, sent the ball into the back of the net.

The crowd at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium in Saudi Arabia chanted ‘Siu’, doing Ronaldo’s trademark celebration, as the striker made his way back to the halfway line. However, much to the disappointment of the fans, Ronaldo did not do his iconic celebration and instead picked up the ball and went back to his position.
Why didn’t Cristiano Ronaldo celebrate his 1st goal?
Fans expected Ronaldo to take the time to celebrate his first goal for the club in what was his third appearance. However, to everyone’s surprise, the 37-year-old striker didn’t do it because he was more focused on winning the match.

Ronaldo’s goal only helped Al Nassr draw the match 2-2. And Ronaldo, while showing his winner mentality without wasting any time, wanted to push for another goal with whatever small time was left. Unfortunately, for Ronaldo and Al-Nassr, they were unable to find a winner in the dying moments and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Cristiano Ronaldo certainly would have been relieved to score his first goal for his new club. The 5x Ballon d’Or winner displayed a composed and professional attitude following his first goal in the Saudi league. He took to Instagram to express his relief and gratitude towards his team.

Now Ronaldo’s next challenge comes on Thursday against Al-Wehda. Ronaldo will surely be looking to continue his goal-scoring run for Al Nassr.
