Behold, Al Nassr fans—Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t quite done with Mission Saudi Arabia just yet. The Portuguese superstar is set to extend his contract with the Knights of the Najd. Despite this season’s disappointment of failing to secure any major trophies with the Riyadh side, it seems Ronaldo is determined to continue his pursuit of success in the Middle East for a few more years.

The surprising development comes from the mouth of renowned journalist, Ben Jacobs, and the reports compiled by X account @X99i3. There is a possibility that Ronaldo will renew his contract with Al Nassr for another season. Notably, the 39-year-old’s current contract with Yellow and Blue ends in the summer of 2025. However, he could continue enjoying his 40s in the desert country till 2026 or beyond that.

This was the second season Ronaldo enjoyed with Luis Castro and Co., where the former Real Madrid star failed to lead his side to any major silverware. Not only did Al Nassr miss out on winning the Roshn Saudi League, with Al Hilal doing the honors, but they were also knocked out of the AFC Champions League and the Saudi Super Cup. Luckily, hope remains to avoid a trophyless season as they are currently in the finals of the King’s Cup of Champions.

Certainly, Ronaldo, who has bagged 42 goals and 12 assists in over 41 appearances this campaign, would be looking to help his side lift the only trophy of the season, making it the cherry on top with his alleged contract extension news. Rest assured, he can aim for further years down the road to at least win significant trophies for Al Nassr.

Meanwhile, the management is also keen on reuniting Cristiano with compatriot Bruno Fernandes. Al Nassr has reportedly enquired about the player but is yet to receive an answer. While Ronaldo looks to be retained by Al-Alami, they might lose one of his star teammates!

While Cristiano Ronaldo is set to stay put at Al Nassr, Sadio Mane might be shown the exit door

According to reports, Sadio Mane is reportedly attracting interest from two different league-winning teams. The first club eyeing the winger’s services is Al Qadsiah FC. While previously competing in the Saudi Arabian Division I, they are now promoted and set to face Al Nassr next season. Meanwhile, the second offer presents an opportunity for Mane to return to Europe.

Turkish giants Galatasaray aim to entice the Senegalese international. Having secured the Trendyol Super Lig title, they will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, giving the winger a chance to play in the prestigious tournament. Notably, Mane arrived just a year ago from Bayern Munich. However, it seems his time with the Yellow and Blue may be drawing to a close.

While both offers are appealing, the ultimate decision lies with both Al Nassr and Sadio Mane. Should he decide to fulfill his contract until 2026, he will also get to remain an attacking partner of Cristiano Ronaldo.
