The same, however, cannot be said for Cristiano Ronaldo, who embraced the Christmas spirit in a far chillier way, leaving even his former Manchester United teammate David de Gea in disbelief.

It’s not like CR7 didn’t do any of these aforementioned things. The Al Nassr forward celebrated the occasion by spending quality time with his beloved girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and all five kids. However, he took things a notch above by taking up a unique challenge. To break the ice (pun intended), the Portuguese superstar shared a 2-minute long video of himself among his 646 million Instagram followers on Christmas Eve, taking a dip in a freezing pool during his vacation in Finland.

He also wrote a caption on the video saying, “It’s just a little cold 🥶😂.” Interestingly, the video was such a hit that it garnered more than 200 million views in a single day. Currently, it boasts 275 million views with over 16 million likes. While fans were amazed by his antics, so was David de Gea, who took to the comment section and wrote, “Estas Loco🥶” which translates to “You are crazy.”

Well, it is somewhat of a crazy stunt. Completely unbothered by the snowy weather, Ronaldo notably comes out of the loft where he’s staying with his family by just wearing his swimming trunks. Georgina was apparently recording the clip, with the Portuguese skipper addressing his viewers in the video saying, “Guys, look at this experience. Freezing, -20,” while gesturing to the water. “And now what do I have in front of me? Cold!”

As he gets into the pool with a few shouts of excitement, the 39-year-old adds, “Very nice.” Almost submerged in the small freezing pool, one can hear him get instructions from someone to relax his muscles and take a full dip. After spending more than a minute in the freezing water, he finally comes out and shakes his body in full excitement, with Cristiano Jr, who unlike his dad, was fully packed with warm clothes from head to toe was left surprised as well.

This is surely some supernatural stuff that Ronaldo managed to do. No wonder he is addressed as the superhuman as maintaining such fitness and grit at this age is not something that everyone is able to do. Forget fans or even De Gea, even we are impressed by this. Additionally, he wrote a caption saying, “Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄”

Don’t worry. Ronaldo did put on his clothes later on at the family dinner. The Al Nassr forward later shared a wholesome picture of himself at a large dining table with his girlfriend and kids, all wearing matching pajamas. He captioned this heartwarming moment, “The most important part of Christmas.”
