Fans expected Al Nassr to absolutely steamroll through their competitors at the start of the season. The Knights of Najd made some high-profile signings last summer acquiring Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Otavio, and Aymeric Laporte to help Cristiano Ronaldo in his quest for silverware. Well, eight months and millions of dollars later, nothing has changed for the team!

However, the team could do a complete 180 this summer. Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly advised Al Nassr’s team management to secure the services of two top Premier League stars. One of them is Bernardo Silva, who is nearing the final year of his contract at Manchester City. Silva is allegedly looking for a move away from the Etihad after seven seasons at the club. While Barcelona and PSG have been linked as the most likely destination for the Portuguese, Al Nassr could swoop in for the player thanks to their impressive financial firepower.

Another name that has been making sounds is Luis Diaz. The Colombian winger has been in fine form for Liverpool. Diaz has stamped his mark as a crucial player for Jurgen Klopp’s side emerging as a potential successor to Mohammed Salah. Despite that, with Middle Eastern outfits splurging massive amounts of money for European stars, a move to Al Nassr could be on the cards for the Colombian.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr targets budding European stars!

While Al Nassr already has a quality squad, there is no doubt that the team has been very inconsistent. Notably, Sadio Mane has struggled to replicate his form from the beginning of the season and has been more of a liability for the team. Similarly, Aymeric Laporte has not produced the desired results for the team in their defense, leaving the side vulnerable on occasions. Injuries to top players like Talisca haven’t helped the team’s case either.

With all the issues at hand, Al Nassr’s management has once again turned to their recruitment team to find potential solutions. With the team reportedly searching for youthful talent, Saudi Arabia could lure top talents with money never a problem for the Knights of Najd. Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto have impressed critics with their performances for Chelsea this season and could be an excellent addition for Al Nassr to improve their defense.

Al Nassr fans have been vocal about their interest in emerging stars and hope the club can land a top talent in the coming months.
