The face of Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo, in several interviews, has praised the quality of the Roshn Saudi League. While everyone still has their doubts, the recent rankings released by IFFHS have partially backed up his statements as a Saudi club finished at the top of that list. Unfortunately for the Portuguese forward, it is not the Knights of Najd but the arch-rivals Al Hilal have been announced as the best club in Asia! Other than winning three trophies at the Globe Soccer Awards, recent times have been tough for Cristiano Ronaldo.

After the Ballon d’Or and FIFA ‘The Best’ Awards nightmare, the Al Nassr star has suffered another defeat. As per the official IFFHS rankings, the Knights of Najd are not the best club in Asia. The 38-year-old’s arch-rival Al Hilal has finished at the top with 184 points. That’s happened mainly because Al Hilal finished the first half of the season without a single defeat. As far as Al Nassr is concerned, they did not even finish in the Top 3. The Knights of Najd were the fifth-best side with 119.5 points. The RSL also has two other representatives on the list.

A Karim Benzema-led Al Ittihad has finished as the seventh-best club in Asia with 114.5 points. The other club is Al Fahya who is joint twenty-eighth in the rankings list with 61.5 points. The win for Al Hilal is a testament to the great work they have done on and off the pitch. On the other side, the Knights of Najd led by Cristiano Ronaldo, have also made huge progress compared to the times before CR7’s captaincy.

The hefty signing of Cristiano Ronaldo is already paying high dividends!

Despite, the disappointment in the IFFHS rankings, there is also a huge positive for Al Nassr. Cristiano Ronaldo has woken up a sleeping giant after so many years. The Knights of Najd were not even in the Top 30 best clubs in Asia, as part of the 2022 rankings. Hence, for the club to finish in the Top 5 proves the lethal and instant impact that Cristiano Ronaldo has made this year.
