Unlike the glitzy appearance of last year, LA Dodgers hero Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea were absent from the 82nd Golden Globes held at the Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles. Guess what? According to Chelsea, she has a really bad dose of “FOMO” after scrolling through all those glam photos of friends attending the star-studded event.

Chelsea is a person who usually keeps it real with her fans. She, took to social media to explain why their schedule will not be the same this year. Apparently, the Freeman family was planning its own equally fabulous weekend, just in a different venue: vacationing with their three extremely cute sons – Charlie, Brandon, and Maximus. Could their decision to skip the Golden Globes be more than just a family vacation?

Freddie and Chelsea have obviously preferred family over Hollywood’s flashing cameras, and who can blame them, really? After a truly eventful year – a serious scare for their youngest son, Max, there’s no sneaking into the limelight.

Max was recently diagnosed with a relatively rare Guillain-Barre syndrome, where the immune system attacks the nerves. That was indeed a tough time for the Freemans, but Max is in remission. Chelsea has been candid about their experiences, often updating Max’s progress while thanking the people who helped them. It seemed like just the weekend getaway they needed to cement good memories with their boys.

Flashback to Chelsea’s Golden Globes

This time around, Chelsea and Freddie Freeman couldn’t manage to make it to the event, but Chelsea was nostalgic about last year. Spent at the 81st Golden Globes, the red carpet evening stole away the show. In one photo, she was seen wearing a sparklingly long, off-shoulder gown that glows in the lights and has tiny details of beadwork running through it. Because the gown has a faint champagne undertone, minimalism complements an overall touch of elegance. Keeping her hair up in a beautiful bun, with the loose strands of beautiful hair framing her face, she was all glammed up.

What about Freddie Freeman? Well, he kept it simple yet classy in an exquisitely tailored black tuxedo, complemented by a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie. His understated yet sharp look was ideal to complement Chelsea’s more elaborate ensemble. The two together would make the countenance of glamour in a red-carpet context, waiting eagerly for their return, a return that never happened – there was disappointment.

While the Freemans may have missed the 2025 Golden Globes, their fans know they’ll be back when the time is right. Whether they’re dazzling on the red carpet or sharing adorable family moments, Freddie and Chelsea know how to keep us rooting for them. For now, we’re just happy to see them enjoying life, focusing on family, and giving us all major goals — both fashion-wise and family-wise. Here’s hoping we see them back at the Golden Globes next year, bringing their signature style and charm!
