It was going to be an uphill task with crucial injuries. But US Soccer did its best to gather a team of veterans and youngsters. Meanwhile, there were a few names guaranteed to be on the roster. Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe were one of those names. 12X Grammy winner Taylor Swift introduced Morgan.

Swift stated“I’ve been tasked with the incredible responsibility of announcing to you another teammate on the US women’s World Cup roster.” “It is my honor to announce to you no.13 Alex Morgan, someone who I consider a friend, someone I am a massive fan of. I am such a huge fan of the whole team, and I can’t wait to watch you guys play. Congratulations to you guys. I will be watching you,” the Grammy winner concluded.

It comes as a coincidence a few days after a massive Swift fan, Alex Morgan, revealed her favorite album. The San Diego forward was on the Snacks podcast of Just Womens Sport, hosted by Sam Mewis and Lynn Williams. When asked, Morgan chose ‘Reputation’ as her favorite Taylor Swift album. And a few weeks after that, US Soccer has chosen Swift to announce the forward to her fourth World Cup roster.

Another Grammy winner did the USWNT veteran Megan Rapinoe announcement.
