How is Alex Morgan connected to movies?
Just hours ago, the USWNT star posted a heartwarming tweet on Twitter. It was regarding one of the films that her startup ‘Togethxr’ had produced. Fenom: Season Two is around the story of Flau’jae ‘Big 4’ Johnson. While the basketball fanbase considers her as the next big thing, she will look to carry forward the legacy of her father, rapper Camouflage.
The series ‘Fenom’ is to showcase athletes that are working towards redefining the sport. Morgan’s startup intends on showcasing the life of those sportspersons who are ‘balancing real life with real work and real ambition’. Deservedly, Fenom recently won the Oscar Qualifying Film Festival. In appreciation for the same, the soccer legend posted a tweet for her production team.

She wrote, “And just like that, we have an Oscar qualifying film. Congrats to the team at @togethxr!”. Without a doubt, the last few months have been quite good for Alex Morgan. Apart from Fenom’s achievement, the USWNT star and all her co-soccer stars recently witnessed a historic decision by FIFA.
The FIFA board decided to bump up the prize money for the upcoming Women’s World Cup by 300% as compared to 2019.
FIFA increases the prize pool for World Cup but issues a major warning!
From this edition of the Women’s World Cup, the prize money will increase to $150 million as compared to $30 million in 2019. FIFA had to take a decision after a group of players from 25 women’s national teams urged FIFPRO for a declaration. On the other hand, the men’s World Cup had a prize pool of $440 million.

In all honesty, this does seem like a start to a big revolution in women’s sports as a whole. But there seems to be a slight level of disharmony in the FIFA boardroom. Just recently, FIFA’s President, Gianni Infantino issued a warning to every potential broadcasting company. He simply claimed they will not sell the broadcasting right to the World Cup unless they receive substantially higher bids.
Considering an increase in the prize money, Infantino has publicly demanded a higher bid or be ready to witness a blackout.
