Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s efforts in revitalizing Wrexham have been widely acknowledged. They successfully rescued the club from the brink of extinction and have orchestrated a remarkable turnaround. The Hollywood owners have propelled them to the forefront of the soccer world.
While they recently clinched promotion to the Football League, their long-term goal is to reach the Premier League. However, it will take some time for them to reach their goal. Meanwhile, Luton Town have already gained promotion to the Prem and Reynolds has congratulated them with a special message.

Ryan Reynolds congratulates Luton Town
On Saturday, Luton Town secured promotion to the Premier League by beating Coventry in the play-off final. The Hatters defeated the Sky Blues on penalties at Wembley Stadium. The news has sent the whole soccer world into a frenzy, as they can’t stop congratulating them for their success.

Just like the others, Reynolds also joined the bandwagon to send his regards. The actor’s ears got big like an elephant’s after hearing the words promotion and Premier League at the same time. The Deadpool star retweeted Luton’s tweet for winning the promotion and wrote, “Congrats @lutontown and also 👀”
He congratulated the Hatters for their emphatic success, but not without a hidden message. The actor added an eye emoji to his message, suggesting that he too is looking to replicate the same thing with Wrexham. Considering that it took Luton nine years to reach the Premier League from the conference league, it will definitely give Reynolds hope for his 10-year Premier League dream.

Reynolds’ 10-year Premier League plan for Wrexham
While climbing three tiers to reach tier 1 is undoubtedly a challenging task, Reynolds is determined to transform the dreams of Wrexham fans into a reality. Hence, while recently talking to ESPN, the actor shared his ambitious long-term vision for Wrexham. He said, “We want to walk the walk, even as a fifth-tier club. We say this all the time, but we want to be in the Premier League, as crazy as that sounds to some people.”

The Canadian also acknowledged the arduous journey that lies ahead to reach the top flight but was quite optimistic. “If it is theoretically possible to go from the fifth tier in professional football all the way to the Premier League, why wouldn’t we do that? Why wouldn’t we use our last drop of blood to get there? We’re in it for the ride. This is a multi-decade project… Two years ago, I didn’t have this kind of passion for the sport, and in some ways, I see it as a plague.”
