Al Nassr has returned to training after a two-week break to prepare for the mid-season friendlies. However, there is a fascinating update that sends doubts regarding the iconic striker, Cristiano Ronaldo. It has been reported that he had to seek treatment because of an injury scare.

Despite being 38 years old, Ronaldo has managed to maintain an outstanding record with injuries. His last injury scare occurred in November of last year, concerning his neck after receiving a knock during a match against Persepolis. Unfortunately, it appears that another injury concern has surfaced. Slowly and steadily, age is catching up on the 38YO.

According to recent reports from the Saudi media, Cristiano Ronaldo has experienced some minor muscle pain. Although he participated in the training session with his teammates, the pain affected his performance during practice. Additionally, he even had to receive treatment at the club clinic and expressed dissatisfaction with the session.

This injury particularly concerns the Knights of Najd, as they are scheduled to travel to China for a two-match friendly fixture next week. Following that, there is a highly anticipated match between Al Nassr and Inter Miami, or more specifically, a face-off between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on February 1st in the Riyadh Season Cup.

Fans will undoubtedly be hoping for a swift recovery, allowing the Portuguese striker to participate in these fixtures with full fitness. Al Nassr, too, must be hoping for the same outcome, as they have been left short-handed after Al-Ettifaq secured the signature of Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate.

Under manager Luis Castro, Madu had mostly been sidelined. It has led Steven Gerrard to swoop in and acquire his services until the end of the season. While specifics about the financial aspect of this deal have not yet been revealed, it is worth noting that this marks the first time the 30-year-old defender has departed since joining Al Nassr in 2012.
