The intentions were apparent. Wrexham didn’t want to lose hold of their title charge. However, the game didn’t go well for the Red Dragons, and they dropped three crucial points.

Earlier, the home side shared a tweet on Thursday to mourn the death of their 19-year-old fan Noah Brown. The fan died of cancer, and Halifax announced a fund for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Wrexham owners showed generosity and donated a substantial amount to the fund started by Halifax Town. Ryan Reynolds shared the information about the fund on his social media, urging followers to donate. There was a minute’s applause in the 19th minute to remember Noah Brown. Meanwhile, a sensational 3-1 loss left Wrexham fans in disbelief.

The loss left fans in utter disbelief. Fans now feel the club has put themselves under pressure and the game on Monday against Notts County will be a do or die. One of the user wrote, “Complete and utter disaster. No other way to dice it up.”

Wrexham started the game on the front foot. However, the first chance fell to Halifax. Ben Foster came to the rescue making a save. Wrexham punished Halifax three minutes later when Sam Dalby found Elliot Lee, who notched the club’s 106th goal of the season in the league.

Halifax hit back after two minutes into the second half, with Millenic Alli scoring. Both teams missed a few chances, with goalkeepers making saves. Wrexham didn’t look their self in the second half, and Alli punished them again in the 70th minute. Halifax punished Wrexham again in the 84th minute, scoring the third and taking the game away from them. It resulted in their 27-game unbeaten run coming to an end.

Notts County went top of the table on goal difference after beating Wealdstone, putting pressure on the world’s third oldest soccer club. Now the game between Wrexham AFC and Notts County on Monday becomes enormously important in the race to grab the automatic promotion spot.
