Wrexham AFC visited Halifax Town on Friday for a crucial game in the National League. Their coach Phil Parkinson named an unchanged side from the thumping victory over Oldham United last Saturday. The intentions were apparent. Wrexham didn’t want to lose hold of their title charge. However, the game didn’t go well for the Red Dragons, and they dropped three crucial points.
Earlier, the home side shared a tweet on Thursday to mourn the death of their 19-year-old fan Noah Brown. The fan died of cancer, and Halifax announced a fund for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Wrexham owners showed generosity and donated a substantial amount to the fund started by Halifax Town. Ryan Reynolds shared the information about the fund on his social media, urging followers to donate. There was a minute’s applause in the 19th minute to remember Noah Brown. Meanwhile, a sensational 3-1 loss left Wrexham fans in disbelief.

Expensive loss, if they lose against Notts coming Monday they are in second place on goals and it’s out of there own hands and they will be dependent on Notts last 3 performances. What a shame to give it out of control so late in the competition 😢
