Dark clouds continue to hover over the U.S. Men’s National Team ever since their Copa America 2024 heartbreak. A premature exit from the group stages keeps them in the negative limelight. In the meantime, uncertainty also remains on the future of Gregg Berhalter over continuing as the team’s head coach. With a lot on their plate, skipper Christian Pulisic has come forward and assured ardent USMNT fans that there are ‘Better days ahead’ for the nation.

The AC Milan forward took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself on the story. Additionally, he wrote a caption, “You deserve and will get better US fans. Better days ahead ❤🇺🇸.” Interestingly, the reassurance comes after their recent disappointment in the CONMEBOL-based tournament, that too as a host nation. While the bar was set for Berhalter and Co. to at least make it to the semifinals, they failed to even make it to the knockout stages.

The Star and Stripes have always remained a subject of criticism throughout the years. Despite having exceptional talents and wunderkind in the roster, the MNT is still looking for their major breakthrough in major competitions like the FIFA World Cup or even the Copa America. The worry takes a double fold as Team USA is hosting the next edition of the World Cup. Hence, the expectations are high for them to at least make the best out of their presence.

However, Christian Pulisic had earlier poured cold water on Berhater for being responsible for the nation’s disappointment in the Copa America, instead shifting the blame onto the players’ shoulders. Other players also came in support of their manager, which was, of course, met with a lot of discontent. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen what decision the USMNT makes regarding Gregg Berhalter.
