Christian Pulisic didn’t waste time after his international duties with the USMNT ended. Following Gregg Berhalter’s premature exit from the Copa America 2024 group stages, the skipper quickly packed his bags, caught a flight, and embarked on a brief summer vacation with his close ones. As he shared glimpses of his trip, one moment saw Pulisic’s girlfriend, Alexa Melton, garner criticism from his USMNT teammate, Florian Balogun, over her ‘diabolical‘ fashion choice.
The AC Milan star shared a carousal of ten posts on Instagram. Aside from posting picturesque locations, the last snap was a selfie with Melton. It was taken at the airport as the couple posed with their baggage. While Pulisic wore an oversized t-shirt with shorts and a cap, Melton wore a casual dress. Everything seemed fine until her ankles, where the golf professional was wearing slippers, that too with socks.
This caught the eye of Balogun, who didn’t hesitate to take a dig at Pulisic’s significant other. The 23-year-old commented, “Tell shorty the last slide with the socks and sandals is diabolical work.” While fans were left in hysterics, Pulisic commented, “☠️☠️☠️.” Notably, Melton has yet to reply to the Monaco forward. Yet, it seems like she is pretty confident about her fashion choice.

The golfer had commented on her look writing, “She has so much airport drip.” Though a netizen named @leinben questioned her dressing sense, Melton replied, “That’s style.” Be that as it may, the influencer doesn’t seem to agree with others over her eyebrow-raising outfit. While Pulisic may not take the guarantee of Melton’s fashion sense, the skipper can certainly offer reassurance to USMNT fans!
Christian Pulisic ignites hope among USMNT fans following Copa America heartbreak
Days ago, Christian Pulisic took to Instagram and shared a picture on his story. He sent a message to the USMNT fans by also adding a caption saying, “You deserve and will get better US fans. Better days ahead ❤🇺🇸.” This reassurance follows their recent disappointment in the CONMEBOL-based tournament, especially as the host nation. Although expectations were high for Berhalter and Co. to at least reach the semifinals, they failed to advance to the knockout stages.
