Wrexham is going from strength to strength. They continue scoring goals for fun while leaving fans delighted with their playing style. A huge chunk of the credit for transforming this soccer club goes to Ryan Reynolds. His presence and leadership have made Wrexham a club noted worldwide. In fact, a former soccer legend made an eye-catching prediction regarding Wrexham soccer club, one that could alter the history of this institution if true.
Wrexham sit fourth in League Two with 33 points in 18 games. Averaging nearly two goals per game, their attack has been on fire this campaign. If they continue with this form, promotion to League One does not look like a distant reality.

Chelsea legend gives his verdict on the Wrexham project
Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair recently shared his thoughts on Wrexham’s trajectory as a club. Having played in the Premier League, Championship, National League, and League 1, the former Chelsea man knows the differences in quality between the various levels of English soccer. Therefore, his comments stating that Wrexham can make it to the Premier League is a testament to the direction of the club.
Sinclair told Stocklytics, “I wouldn’t be surprised if they got to the Premier League. I don’t think that it’s something they could do in the next 5-10 years, but if you give them a realistic time frame of within the next 10 years, you’d say it’s doable.”

Sinclair also added that Wrexham can look up to Leicester who gained promotion to the Premier League 11 years after their relegation. Moreover, the factor of having celebrity owners is also a huge plus as per Sinclair. He explained, “I think they have a bigger pull. With the exposure that the football club is getting from the owners and the documentary, it’s going to be attractive to players and they’ll want to be a part of it.” It looks like Sinclair believes the Wrexham project is destined for success. Perhaps, Ryan Reynolds’ Premier League prediction might not have been an impossible dream after all.
Can Ryan Reynolds’s men achieve the Premier League dream?
In the 2023 FA Cup 4th round, Wrexham held Sheffield United, a team three divisions above them to a draw. The match ended in a draw 3-3, a performance that made Reynolds proud. The Hollywood icon then revealed the plan- to play in the Premier League within 10 years. Today that dream looks very much possible.

Post the match, Ryan Reynolds said, “Nobody has ever done anything great in this world thinking: ‘You know what, let’s go halfway’, so let’s go all the way and we believe we can do that. If it’s theoretically possible to go from the fifth tier to the Premier League, why wouldn’t we try?“. Manager Phil Parkinson recently addressed that Wrexham can emulate Luton Town by playing in the Premier League.
With the owners and the manager on the same page, Wrexham has the perfect base to build on.
