With Lionel Messi leading the charge from the front, Inter Miami is slowly developing into a force to be reckoned with. Inter Miami assistant coach Javier Morales in a recent interview with AppleTV touched down on working alongside La Pulga during training. Morales feels that if the players can adjust to Messi’s play style, it will be a big boost for the team.
“The key is not so much how they adapt to us, but how we can adapt to the level. They are very important players.I am very impressed by the fact that we are doing tactical work and in every break they grab two or three players and start to explain, to say what they want, what they are looking for, beyond what we are looking for as a coaching staff.”
“The truth is that it has been a very drastic change in the last few days, especially with Lionel’s arrival. It has changed our lives, not only for the club but also for us. We are trying to adapt as quickly as possible to this. He is key, especially for what he represents.”
While winning the title in his debut season seems a bit out of reach, Lionel Messi’s firing on all cylinders has been a big plus point for the Miami faithful.
