Lionel Messi has done it again at Inter Miami. After just four games, the Argentine soccer legend’s impact cannot be understated. Minutes ago, the Miami-based club won its R016 knockout game against FC Dallas thrillingly. After scoring another screamer from outside the box, the soccer icon is once again at the receiving end of praise, both from fans and also a USWNT legend.

Without a doubt, the World Cup winner’s goal would have a brought smile to every soccer fan’s face in America. It was a moment to celebrate after the unfortunate exit of the USWNT from the Women’s World Cup.

Today’s game ended with a daunting 4-4 scoreline. Lionel Messi gave his team the lead in the sixth minute itself after slotting the ball past the goalie. But it wasn’t an easy game for Inter Miami after that. They were trailing for most of the game as they just couldn’t stop FC Dallas from scoring. With ten minutes to go, the Miami-based club was trailing by two goals and the hopes were getting dimmer by the minute.

After an own goal by FC Dallas, fans still believed in a win, as Messi was still on the pitch. And he did it again! From outside the box, he banged in a goal and leveled the scoreline again. The game then went on to penalties and Inter Miami won it quite comfortably. The screamer by Messi went viral within seconds and millions of fans were lauding the World Cup winner.

USWNT legend Carli Lloyd joined the bandwagon too. She reposted a video of the Miami soccer star’s goal from outside the box. Additionally, she wrote, “The 🐐. And all 😀 again. Good to see!”. A goal like that would have brought a smile to anyone and everyone’s face.  After a tragic exit from the Women’s World Cup, Messi’s goal definitely helped in brightening the fan’s moods in the US.
