USWNT made history by winning the sixth SheBelieves Cup. They also won it for the fourth consecutive time after winning all their games in the tournament. They beat Brazil 2-1 in their last game to clinch the trophy. It was a great show put in by the team after narrowly winning the previous game against Japan, sending fans on cloud nine.

USWNT stars Alex Morgan, and Mallory Swanson were on the scoresheet for the team. Morgan scored a golazo in the added time of the first half to give the team the lead. Swanson scored another goal in the 63rd minute, making her an all-time top scorer in the tournament. The forward now has eight goals in the tournament.

USWNT fans react to historic win

USWNT came into the game knowing a draw would make them champions. Earlier, Japan beat Canada 3-0, presenting a chance for Brazil to win the tournament. However, the women put on a brilliant show to lift the trophy. Brazil scored in the last minute of regulation time to scare the fans, but it was too late.

Fans were over the moon about the achievement of the US soccer team. It was probably the last big test for the team before the FIFA World Cup in July and August. The teams that participated in the SheBelieves Cup were ranked in the top 11 of the FIFA rankings. 

One fan wrote, “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop,” replying to the USWNT official handles tweet. Others were quick to remind the world USWNT is coming to the FIFA World Cup with a great tournament win. The win definitely put the US soccer fans on cloud nine. They were full of praise for their players for putting on a show in the tournament and winning all three games. 

The performances of a few players for the team caught the eye of the fans, and they are looking more confident of USWNT going into this year’s FIFA World Cup. To sum up, the US soccer team has a chance to do a three-peat in the World Cup after winning the last two tournaments. Fans are pumped for the pinnacle tournament now.
