Al Nassr was forced to scrap their plans this Tuesday with the side encountering a minor problem. As per Al-Riyadiya sources, “The first football team’s training and the press conference scheduled for today are canceled due to the crowd density in front of the hotel gates and the team bus.” (Translated by Google)

It could be a minor setback for the side, as the players will take to the field without a training session. Al Nassr has not been in action for the last three weeks, with the team playing their last game on the 30th of December. It will be interesting to see if the side can pick off from where they left off before the mid-season break.

Further, there have been some concerns surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement during the tour. The player has been reportedly struggling with an undisclosed injury. Fans will hope that the Al Nassr skipper shrugs off his issues and takes to the field this Wednesday.

Concerns over Cristiano Ronaldo’s availability

The Portuguese superstar has been absent from the team’s training sessions, with reports suggesting a potential injury/knock. As per recent reports, Al Nassr postponed both of their matches in the country; the first of which was only 24 hours away.

The tour organizers released a statement over the player’s involvement, adding, “We have news that Cristiano is suffering from some pain, but we believe that this is something that professional players are used to. Al Nassr has a very strict training regime for physical recovery, and as far as we know, Cristiano will participate in all the events of this trip to China.”

However, Al Nassr later released a statement that read, “… for reasons beyond Al Nassr‘s control, the event comprised of two matches scheduled on the 24th and 28th of January has been postponed to a date to be defined.” The statement further suggested that the team was willing to complete their training camp as planned. They will also schedule new matches as soon as possible.
