The Barcelona board has been exploring the possibility of bringing back the legendary Argentine. Club Vice-president, Rafa Yuste has also assured fans of bringing Messi back and has told of being in talks. Amidst all this, Pique has come forward with a statement filled with major concern.

“I know Rafa Yuste and how he is. He’s a very good person and he will always tell you what you want to hear,” Pique said. “He’s a great person, and he is going to choose the right words to say what you like to hear”.

He believes that Barcelona should worry more about the financial crisis the Catalans are already going through. It was due to the financial woes that Messi had to leave Barcelona in 2021 in the first place. “Obviously for all the ‘cules’ it would be incredible if Leo came back, but there comes a point where forcing situations too much, can be counterproductive,” he concluded.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Lionel Messi. Interestingly, these comments from Pique came just weeks after Lionel Messi’s wife showed support for Shakira.

She repeated this trend when Shakira posted about her second diss track, “TQG” with Karol G on Instagram. This time too she commented with several fire emojis. Given all this, it’s clear Roccuzzo is fully behind Shakira in this drama with Pique.
