It has been a few days since Wrexham AFC suffered a shocking defeat after remaining unbeaten in the league for unfathomable 27 matches. However, despite a historical record-breaking season, Wrexham is fighting a very close battle for automatic promotion. This season seems a very extreme edition of the 2011/12 season when Wrexham had recorded 98 points in a season and still didn’t get promoted.
However, the difference is that Wrexham has multiple megastars this time and is taking charge of the team. Stars like Paul Mullin and Rob Lainton have played an immense role in this historical season for the red dragons. In this need of the hour, Wrexham’s newest star Ben Foster got the baton and has inspired his teammates.

He said, “It’s a good chance to try and bury some of these demons straight away and it’s obviously a massive game for us. We know what is at stake when we play Notts County on Monday, and hopefully, we can take a bit of anger from the [Halifax] game and turn it into a real high-tempo, proper performance for our fans to enjoy.”
He continued, “It’s very good for the neutral (the title race), but not so good for a Wrexham fan. Friday would have been a great chance to maintain that lead and to maintain our unbeaten run. But that is football and fair play to Halifax, they were good.”
