It has been a tough journey for US soccer star Christian Pulisic at Chelsea. Just when he starts gaining his playing momentum, the attacker gets himself on the injury list.

After coming back from the world cup, Pulisic was expecting to become an integral part of Graham Potter’s side. The World Cup scorer was looking to kickstart his new career by getting himself back into the starting XI. However, things went south for the former Borrusia Dortmund man once again.

The US star will be out of action for many weeks after getting hit with yet another injury. The 24-year-old returned to domestic action against Manchester City after enduring a decent World Cup. However, he was forced out on the pitch in just 22 minutes as Chelsea lost 1-0 against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Pulisic suffered damage to his right knee and is expected to be out for around two months. Therefore, he got his name on the injury list alongside Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Kante, Fofana, and Chilwell. Besides missing club soccer, he will also miss the international friendlies against Serbia and Columbia.

While some Chelsea fans are ranting on the internet about Pulisic’s injury, others are on cloud nine after their recent signing. The Blues acquired the signing of Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix. The Portuguese will join the Premier League side on loan until the end of the season for a fee of USD 10.75 million.

Felix joins a long list of attackers, including Sterling, Havertz, Ziyech, and transfer-bound Aubameyang.
