USMNT had qualified for the round of 16 after winning their match against Iran. The USA beat the Asian giants by 1-0 with a goal by Christian Pulisic. It was a must-win match for USMNT to make it to the next round. President Joe Biden talked to the coach and the team ahead of the match to wish them luck. The team proved him right and went on to win the game.

USMNT dominated the match by not giving many chances to Iran. USMNT also had a goal disallowed due to offside. All soccer pundits are praising the midfield for their magical performance in this tournament.
The fans react to Christian Pulisic Injury
While trying to score a goal for USMNT, Christian Pulisic got the knee of the Iranian goalkeeper hit near his abdomen. Although he managed to score a goal, he got hurt. The USMNT official Twitter account tweeted, “#USMNT forward Christian Pulisic has been diagnosed with a pelvic contusion and his status is day-to-day.”
