The season for Inter Miami ended after getting knocked out of the MLS playoff race. While they will be returning to action after four months in 2024, David Beckham‘s soccer franchise is planning for the new season ahead. In fact, they have already started by taking baby steps in bolstering their roster, as they will be signing Luis Suarez and partnering him with Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, Messi came back from Paris to Florida with his eighth Ballon d’Or. While fans were busy lauding the star, Suarez made a witty comment on his prestigious title.

Inter Miami made gigantic strides on the pitch this year after the blockbuster signing of Lionel Messi. Since then, it has been onward and upward for the club. The Herons also added La Pulga’s former Barcelona teammates, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. However, it seems Miami is not stopping, as they will be signing Luis Suarez too.

This comes from the mouth of renowned journalist César Luis Merlo, who claims that the Uruguayan striker will be arriving at Fort Lauderdale from the Brazilian side Gremio in 2024. The former Barcelona No. 9 will be signing a one-year contract, with the option for renewal if both parties agree. Earlier, he was expected to arrive at the same time Messi came, but due to his contractual obligations, the move failed.

Additionally, Suarez has agreed to a departure in December with Gremio, when the Tricolor’s current campaign ends in the Brasileirao. The former Liverpool man will be stepping into the position left vacant by Josef Martínez after Tata Martino announced his departure earlier. Notably, César Luis Merlo is the same journalist who broke Suarez’s move to Gremio.

Be that as it may, it is quite an interesting development for Inter Miami. Certainly, fans will be looking forward to witnessing the special duo of Messi and Suarez. Notably, the Argentinian will have a bone to pick with the Uruguayan after he comes to DRV PNK Stadium, as Suarez recently made a surprise comment on Messi’s Ballon d’Or win.

His comment did instantly go viral. What Messi would reply to is yet to be seen. Notably, this wasn’t the first time that the ex-Barcelona man pulled his pal’s leg. Nevertheless, without a doubt, it appears to be a lighthearted exchange from Luis Suarez. Imagine if the two got back together in Miami; then we are certainly in for some laughs.
