In a surprising turn of events, Al Nassr has reportedly penned a deal with Cristiano Ronaldo‘s eldest son Ronaldo Jr. According to the reports, the Middle Eastern club has signed the twelve-year-old to a contract and will assign him jersey #7. Earlier this year, the soccer veteran’s son had left the Manchester United academy after his father left the club. He had reportedly joined the Mahd Academy in Saudi Arabia and has now joined his father’s current employers.

This could be an enormous opportunity for the 13-year-old, who is said to be interested in following his father’s footsteps. He already has a lot of experience, as he’s trained with the youth teams at Juventus and Manchester United.

Saudi Arabian soccer giant Al Nassr has reportedly signed Cristiano Ronaldo’s son to a youth contract with the club. Cristiano made his move to the Middle Eastern outfit last season, signing a massive $500 million-plus deal. It seems that the club is looking to secure the future generation and skill from the ever-famous household with their decision to rope in Ronaldo Jr.

While it is too soon to tell, this could be the passing of the torch moment for Cristiano Jr, who is widely expected to carry his father’s legacy. Cristiano Ronaldo for the majority of his career donned the iconic number seven jersey. The jersey and the player have become synonymous over time with fans, more than often calling the Portuguese talisman ‘CR7’.

While this is a big moment for his son, Cristiano Ronaldo will ensure that his son does not feel the pressure. While athletes around the world hope that their children can carry on their legacy, the soccer star wants his son to walk his own path.
