“Bottle Job FC is Back” – Mesut Ozil Brutally Trolls Tottenham Hotspur Over Tainted Record

Tottenham Hotspur has hit a rough note this season following a great start to their campaign. Notably, the side has failed to bag a win in their last five encounters, creating an unwarranted record. With their luck upside down, one of their former rivals, Mesut Ozil, took to his official handle to take a sly dig at the London-based side.

Ozil, who played for Arsenal during his time in the Premier League, seems to hold a rivalry with the club. Ange Postecoglou’s side was on a great run at the start of their campaign as they positioned themselves at the top of the table. But, a string of injuries and suspensions to their key players has put a rough stop to their momentum.

Mesut Ozil takes a dig at Tottenham’s losing streak

Tottenham Hotspur’s fortunes have taken a turn for the worse despite their impressive start to the season. Ange Postecoglou and his men have seemingly fumbled the bag as the side has become the first team in Premier League history to lose five consecutive games despite getting an early 1-0 lead. Apart from the unwarranted record, the team has also become the first side in the competition to lose three games despite finding the game’s first goal.

Ozil took a dig at Spurs on his X account as he wrote, “Who else should be able to break that record? Bottle Job FC is back.”

Things have not gone Spurs’ way following the injury to their key signing, James Madison. The London-based side was on a roll early in the tournament, with eight wins in ten outings. However, the last five games have piled on the misery for Spurs with the failure to get a triumph in any of those encounters.

Ange Postecoglou blames poor finishing for Spurs’ struggles

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou took the Premier League by storm thanks to his gung-ho approach following his arrival in England. However, it seems like the Australian is starting to find out why the league is considered the toughest league in the world.

Postecoglou, following his team’s latest defeat against West Ham, addressed the media communicating about his team’s struggles. The manager claimed his team needs to improve with the opportunities inside the box.

The manager stated, “For the football to be brilliant, it’s got to be there in its entirety and I don’t how many times I’ve said, I still think in our front third we’ve got a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, that’s costing us at the moment in terms of results.”
