The American duo completed the takeover in February 2021. Since then, Ryan Reynolds has now become a known face on anything public to do with Wrexham. Recently, a British racing car driver publicly asked Reynolds whether investing in the IndyCar series would interest him.
Is a new investment on the cards for Ryan Reynolds?
British car racer Pippa Mann was the one who asked him. Mann competes in the IndyCar series in America. She is also the founder of the ShiftUpNow foundation. ShiftUpNow is an organization that funds female motorsport racers to help them achieve their dream. The organization also gives female racers access to better resources and opportunities.

Recently, Mann posted a tweet asking the Deadpool star about the potential investment. In that tweet, she first expressed her admiration for the new web series that Ryan Reynolds was a part of. The web series goes by the name ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.
Mann then went straight to the point and tagged the American duo. She then asked them if they’d be persuaded to now invest in the racing industry. She then took it a step further and tagged Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively in the next line wittingly, asking for help.
At the end of the tweet, she left a link to her organization. While Reynolds is still yet to comment on the same, it could be quite an interesting proposition.
Reynolds and Wrexham – A success story already
The American duo is currently doing quite well as owners of Wrexham A.F.C. A few months ago, Daily Star asked Reynolds about his decision to buy the Welsh soccer club. Reynolds happily replied, “It seemed like an interesting proposition. We were looking at a bunch of different teams and the thing for me that really struck a chord about Wrexham was how intrinsically tied communities are to their football club”.
Moreover, Reynolds then revealed his end goal and motive for the club. He said, “It’s a more all encompassing project with Wrexham – their supporters, their community, and taking them back into the English Football League. That is our goal and our hope. We are super-excited”.

Earlier this month, the American duo was also awarded ‘Freedom with Wrexham’. The duo was awarded mainly for the instant impact they had had on the Welsh club. They got a chance to meet King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla at Wrexham’s home ground. Later that day, Reynolds jokingly posted a tweet with a picture of King Charles calling him out as the man in charge for their next documentary.
