Barcelona star and French defender Jules Kounde has showered some huge praise for his predecessor. During an interview, Kounde was asked about his thoughts on Gerard Pique’s career. The twenty-four-year-old showed no hesitation, as he claimed that the Spaniard was amongst the best players in the world.

“Gerard’s career speaks for itself. He was one of the best in the world in his position.”

Jules Kounde and Kylian Mbappe are currently a part of the French side for international fixtures. The side will face Ireland in the Euro Qualifiers tonight. The team will then face Germany in an international friendly before the players return to resume their club duties.
