The cricketer stated, “Class interview that from Kyle Walker…made sure everyone heard they are top of the table but knows there is loads more to improve on, get behind the team and leave the hindsight and negativity to the pundits aye. Come on England.”

Kyle Walker was not too pleased with how fans and experts reacted to the team’s result after the draw against Denmark. While it’s great on Walker’s part to defend his teammates, it’s not surprising fans slam the team after the display they put against Denmark after being touted as one favorite for the title.

The English star spoke with the media following the team’s performance. Walker claimed the opposition played good football, and it’s not bad to give credit where it’s due. The defender stated, “It’s tournament football. This is a good Denmark team. We are top of the group, so let’s try and take the positive from this game,” mentioned Walker.

He continued, “We’ve not lost. We have conceded a great strike from outside the box. Sometimes you have to take your hat off to good goals. I thought we set up really well as we did the other day, but we haven’t managed to see the game out. But we are top of the group, so let’s move on to the next game.”

The right-back then reiterated the fact that England is on top of their group and just needs to learn from their mistakes against Denmark and focus on the upcoming game against Slovenia. Gareth Southgate’s side has looked a little out of breath during the Euros on multiple occasions, with most players somewhat off their game.

The team will hope they can pick up the point against Slovenia in their last game and then focus on improving their performance during the knockouts.
