However, just two weeks later, tragedy struck once again. The Al Hilal player has been ruled out for the rest of the season following his latest injury. This is a massive setback for the player who made his return in August after spending four months off the field due to an ankle injury. It seems like the hits keep on coming, as the Al Hilal star will miss out on an eye-watering 7-figure amount from his club following his injury.
The Brazilian soccer icon was pretty emotional after his injury as he took to his social media to address the incident. According to the medical staff, the player has torn ACL and will be out for almost nine months.

According to reports from Globo, Neymar would miss out on a whopping $6.5 million dollars following his injury. According to his deal with Al Hilal, the player would receive $87,000 for every team win. However, the bonuses do not apply when the player is off the field due to an injury or international duty.
Neymar penned a big money deal with Al-Hilal this season that saw him join the Saudi side. His two-year contract saw him take home over $200 million per year. Apart from the on-field clauses, the player will also net $543,200 from each social media post he makes promoting Saudi Arabia. Al Hilal went all in with their checkbook to secure Neymar’s services as the player was allotted a private jet and a 25-room mansion for him and his family,
The player was hoping to get off a positive start for his new club, but his prior injury derailed his debut. Now after finding his spot in the team, it seems like things were just not meant to happen as Neymar has been ruled out for the entire season after rupturing his ACL.

Neymar was visibly distraught after his injury as he was taken off the field on a stretcher. The star following the game took to social media to address his fans after the extent of his injuries was revealed to the public. He penned, “It’s a very sad moment, the worst. I know I’m strong but this time I’ll need my (family and friends) even more. It’s not easy going through injury and surgery. Imagine going through all that again after 4 months of recovery. I have faith, even too much… But the strength I put in the hands of God so that he can renew mine. Thanks for the messages of support and love.”
