Barcelona icon Sergio Roberto has been a key name for the Blaugrana in the past five years. The player has been a cornerstone of the team, becoming a key name in the dressing room. With his contract running out, fans have been discussing Roberto’s future with the team. While the player has been linked with a move to Inter Miami, the Spanish full-back vehemently denied such claims in a recent interview.

Roberto stated, “With Xavi as coach, I feel comfortable. I have your trust. At the end of the season, if the club is happy, I will continue. I’m talking to Barça. At the moment, I am not going to go to another team.”

He then added, “Everything that is said about me going to Miami or Palmeiras. They are all lies. It is true that I would like to have an experience in the MLS in the future, but it is not the time for that yet. At the moment, I say that I want to stay at Barça.”

While Sergi Roberto may have said no to a move to Inter Miami, the side is still in pole position to secure the services of Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker becomes a free agent this winter and will be free to negotiate terms with the side.
