Well, the recent turn of developments has made one thing very clear; even the poster boy of the Saudi Pro League will not go unpunished for breaking the nation’s stringent laws! Cristiano Ronaldo came under massive fire earlier this week following his obscene action towards fans who kept chanting Lionel Messi‘s name during the Al Shadab game to rile up the player.
While Al Nassr complained to the match officials reporting the one-sided chanting against Cristiano, it seems the side’s attempt to subdue their skipper’s actions has been in vain. According to reports, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, following an investigation, has made its stance clear over CR7’s actions. Sources suggest, “The Disciplinary Committee is moving to suspend Cristiano Ronaldo for two matches and fine him for unsportsmanlike behavior.”
With the ban in effect, the Al Nassr skipper will face a two-game suspension following his actions and will be unavailable for the team’s games against Al Hazm and Al Raed.

Many critics across Saudi Arabia have advised Cristiano Ronaldo to focus on his game rather than engage himself with the fans. The Al Nassr skipper has often clapped back at the fans chanting Messi’s name, with the player urging them to pump up the volume to his latest fiasco. As fans keep trying to find a way to get under his skin, the Al Nassr skipper might have to do his best to ignore the white noise and focus on his performance.
