Lionel Messi surprised many by announcing his Inter Miami move. It comes as a significant boost for US soccer, with the country gearing up to host World Cup in 2026. The effects of his transfer were visible as Inter Miami became the most followed team in MLS. They trumped all MLB and NFL teams within 24 hours of the announcement. 

Meanwhile, another PSG superstar is keen to get reunited with Messi at Inter Miami. Reports claim Neymar, who was aware of Messi’s move to Miami, wants to join the MLS club.

Recent incidents at PSG saw two of the club’s superstars getting upset. The first was Lionel Messi. The PSG Ultras weren’t happy with the Argentine for his dismal performances in important games. They booed the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner regularly during the games. Parisian club punished Messi for his unofficial Saudi Arabia trip. 

The incidents saw Messi contemplating his future, despite a contract renewal offer on the table. He wanted to end his unhappy stint in Paris and chose MLS club Inter Miami. The decision sent shockwaves in the soccer world. However, his long-time friend Neymar was aware of Messi’s decision. 

“Messi to Miami? I knew that. Messi is one of my best friends and a gift the ball gave me. I had the chance to play with him, and then we became friends. I knew he would come to Miami, and we talked about it. I told him he would be very happy because of the city and the way of life, and I’m sure he will change the whole league,” Neymar said while speaking on the decision of Messi. 

The reports from the US are linking Neymar, another unhappy PSG superstar, to a move to Inter Miami. One of the transfer experts related to MLS says the Brazilian wants to reunite with Messi in Miami. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the future.

Neymar made a sensational move to PSG in a world-record transfer. Since the move, the Brazilian established himself as one of the crucial players of the club.
