In 2021, Reynolds made headlines when he, along with action star Rob McElhenney, bought the Welsh soccer club Wrexham AFC. Wrexham has seen success both on and off the field, with the name of Ryan Reynolds being attached to the team helping it gain a lot of attention and popularity.

Reynolds has been a consistent presence with the team, often attending matches and taking an active role in the club. While the Hollywood star has made headlines in recent times for his involvement in the Welsh soccer club, Kutcher revealed that he was close to investing in a team in the English Premier League.

Ashton Kutcher was close to following in Ryan Reynolds’ footsteps

Recently, Ashton sat down with co-actor Reese Witherspoon in an interview to promote their upcoming Netflix movie ‘Your Place or Mine’. Speaking in the interview, Kutcher talked about his love for soccer. “I’m a big United States soccer fan,” He said. Nobody can hate United States soccer because we’re never in the final.

However, the actor decided against it due to time commitments. “If I own a football team I want to go watch the matches and I’m like ‘do I have time to fly back and forth?” Kutcher said. It’s understandable that the Hollywood actor would want to be able to watch his team play if he was going to invest in them.
