The US No. 15 has won two World Cups with her international camp. Besides being a soccer player, she has been quite an activist off the pitch. Rapinoe is quite a supporter of LGBTQ and women’s equality and empowerment.
The player has been a key figure in supporting equal pay for both men and women in soccer. The soccer federation and the teams signed a historic agreement that will guarantee an identical pay structure for tournament victories and equal distribution of prize money.
Megan Rapinoe comes in support of former teammate
Once again, Rapinoe shared a story of discrimination that they faced back in 2015. Of course, the USWNT has made the entire country proud and deserved the world’s praise.

USWNT’s former goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris revealed this in a podcast, and her teammate Rapinoe lead credence to the story. The soccer activist shared a post of Ashely’s words on her Instagram story with the caption, “Shards of Her Knees in Her Teeth.”
The OL Reign player is still bitter about the way they were sent back to their country, even after winning the prestigious tournament. She helped her side win the title. The ladies rallied for an emphatic 5-2 win against Japan. Goals from Holiday, Heath, and a hat trick from Lloyd helped them take the World Cup home.
Rapinoe will aim to do it all over again as the squad looks to achieve a three-peat. Nevertheless, former USWNT goalkeeper Harris spoke of the issue at length.
Former player slams USWNT’s poor treatment

The episode of the podcast will release today, and fans can listen to the full interview on Boardroom TV. She talked in detail about how their soccer federation favored the men’s national team more.
