The juggernaut that is Manchester City is up and running in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign. Pep Guardiola’s side defeated Newcastle United and accumulated six points in the first two games. Off the pitch, Pep was caught in a muddle with a traffic attendant, following a comical interaction between the two. A clip saw the coach fined for a parking ticket, and what followed soon became viral on social media platforms.

Pep lively interacted with a police officer in front of his car as onlookers managed to film the incident. As a soccer fan himself, the traffic attendant approached Pep for a photo. Some may think you leave him alone during a potentially heated situation. Yet, the Manchester City boss showed his lighter side despite being direct with his answers.

While returning to his car, we see Pep interacting with the traffic attendant for the ticket he received. He parks the car on double yellow lines, and the traffic attendant comes up front to take a photograph. To this, Pep replies, “You want a picture? You have to pay. For the picture.” The duo laughed at each other, following the attendant’s request.

Following that, he went to the car’s front and extracted the ticket before driving off. The interaction between the two turned into a comical exchange, with Pep displaying his humorous side. Although dubbed the brainchild of soccer philosophies and tactical approaches, Guardiola loves to crack a joke. His interactions with people, as well as during post-and pre-match press conferences, boosted his enigmatic personality. But on the pitch, he remains a win-thirsty manager.

Can Pep motivate his side one more time?

To win the Premier League three times in a row is an achievement in itself. But achieving four? Not a straightforward task. Looking at the current contenders, Arsenal has improved their squad drastically to push for a title challenge. Meanwhile, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United look worthy of forcing the champions to the end. Losing Kevin De Bruyne for around four months, other players would need to step up for the Citizens.
