As Harry Kane Makes $110,000,000 Move, Wrexham’s Paul Mullin Dreamt of Teaming Up With Ex-Tottenham Star

For every striker, they need a player to create their chances. For Mullin, he loves a striker who does just that.

He can score, assist and do a whole lot more. Amid his sensational transfer to Bayern Munich, Paul Mullin professed his adoration for his imaginary striking partner.

In an earlier interview, Mullin stated his wish to play with Kane as a perfect strike partner. Paul explained, “Harry Kane. You know he likes to get a load of assists. So I suppose he’d be able to set me up then as well.” If you dive deeper into Kane’s blueprint on a pitch, he comes deep to the midfield to receive the ball and feeds in the players who make runs. In Tottenham’s case, Son Heung-min did precisely that, and the two formed an irresistible partnership.

The duo has the most goal combinations (47) in the English Premier League. They formed a telepathic connection on the pitch and complimented each other perfectly. For Mullin, it would be perfect to have Kane by his side. While the English striker comes deep to receive the ball, Mullin stays forward, looking to effect in the final third. He is a fox in the box, latching onto through balls to score goals. Thus, Mullin wished to play with a superstar who joined the German giants days before.

Bayern acquires a player who, in addition to scoring 280 goals for Tottenham Hotspur, has also provided 64 assists. Hence, the players of Bayern would be licking their lips at the arrival of the icon of Spurs.

Although he failed to win a trophy in his debut, he would probably be a crucial piece in the jigsaw for Munich. They lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona and neglected to replace the prolific striker. In comes Kane, with all his expertise. Leaving Spurs was never a simple moment, but the striker yearned to win trophies, something the Lilywhites never managed since 2008. 

Kane left with a heavy heart with lofty ambitions to make his dreams come true. Although a move to Wrexham was never on the cards, a partnership of Mullin and Kane would be gob-smacking. Who knows?
