The transfer saga around Lionel Messi is done and dusted. It didn’t take many days for the Argentine to decide his future. Despite the offers from Saudi Arabia and former club FC Barcelona, Messi chose to join Inter Miami. The move made him the highest-paid athlete in the US, with earnings of $55 million (including salary, signing bonus, and equity in the club).

David Beckham’s club and its fans are gearing up for the debut of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. However, what caught the eyes of many is the former Manchester United player training with Inter Miami players recently.

The clubs are busy sorting summer transfers to strengthen their squads. Some players are ready to make massive strides in their careers, while there are players who are free agents. One such free agent on the market is former United star, Jesse Lingard. Premier League club Nottingham Forest released the English star after his one-year contract ended on June 30.

Lingard is on vacation in the US. There were rumors of him joining MLS side DC United, coached by his former teammate Wayne Rooney. However, Rooney dismissed all the reports. Meanwhile, Lingard’s recent Instagram story has made fans think. The former United prodigy posted a video of him training on social media. And it was from outside the famous DRV PNK Stadium of Inter Miami.

Lingard is considering his future. Like many players out of contract, the former West Ham United star also has courted interest from Saudi Arabia. The 30-year-old is hungry to play soccer on a consistent basis. Lingard revealed he might move to the Gulf nation if a significant offer arrives while speaking to Sky Sports. But the English star training with Inter Miami players will ignite rumors, with Beckham’s club in a transition phase.
