The draw for Copa America took place today in Miami, Florida in the presence of FIFA President, Gianni Infantino. The event is set to take place in the USA next year and will host 16 teams from CONMEBOL and CONCACAF. The current champions, led by Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, will strive to retain the title in what could be his last major international tournament, along with their coach, Lionel Scaloni. One of the biggest tournaments in the sports world will take place from June 20 to July 14, 2024.

Argentina 2024 Copa America: Group and Opponents

The Albiceleste are in Group A. The groups are created with a rule that not more than three CONMEBOL and two CONCACAF teams are allowed in each group of 4.
The World Champions will commence the tournament on June 20 against the winner of the CONCACAF Nations League play-off. This could be either Canada or Trinidad and Tobago, decided on 23rd March 2024. Here is how the group looks.

The venues for Argentina’s matches are:
- Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta – Argentina versus Canada or Trinidad and Tobago on June 20
- MetLife Stadium, New Jersey – Argentina versus Chile on June 25.
- Hard Rock Stadium, Miami – Argentina versus Peru on June 29
La Albiceleste will enter into the tournament after the World Cup as favorites to win the Copa America 2024 too. However, it will face stiff competition from Uruguay, Brazil, and Mexico. While the fanbase will expect Lionel Messi and Co to continue their jaw-dropping form, La Albiceleste wouldn’t be taking the campaign lightly.
