Despite his apology, Chinese fans don’t seem to be happy with the player, with many urging the organizers to issue a refund. The Chinese government officials have also taken measures against Messi’s actions with Inter Miami getting a reduced paycheck for their friendly clash against Hong Kong. Well, it seems like things did not end there. According to reports, mainland authorities are disappointed with Messi’s actions and have allegedly scrapped Argentina’s friendly clash with China.

Lionel Messi was severely booed during Inter Miami’s clash against Hong Kong XI. Fans in attendance did not take too kindly to the player sitting on the bench after paying a considerable amount to see him in action. The organizers of the tour have done their best to control the fan fury, promising fans a 50% refund on purchases through the official platforms.

China cancels friendly clash against Argentina

News spread like wildfire last night as the Chinese government put on a massive announcement. According to emerging reports, the officials have scrapped the national team’s friendly clash against the Albiceleste. The two sides were supposed to meet each other in Hangzhou later this year. However, it seems like the game is no longer happening.
