In a collaboration between the world’s best, it was a question of how much impact one could make. Lionel Messi‘s move to Inter Miami is worth $50 million to $60 million per year, whereas his rival CR7 earns more than $200 million a year in Saudi. But the virtuoso had a bigger purpose, with not just deals but also global influence. However, the Vice President of Apple has recently confessed that he underestimated what the World Cup winner could bring to the table.

Attaching himself to one of the most valued brands in the world, Messi has taken them by surprise. According to reports, Apple’s VP, Eddy Cue said, “Yes, I knew Messi would make a difference, but I thought it would take time. The situation has changed very quickly, both on a global scale and in the United States. I didn’t appreciate the power and influence that Messi had, but overall, it’s amazing to see what he does,” confessing his initial skepticism and annoyance with the buzz.
