Paul Pogba might have to say goodbye to playing soccer for a few years. The French striker in recent times has been out of the Juventus squad following a suspension that came after testing positive for doping. Now the stakes are raised as an anti-doping prosecutor has demanded a longer 4-year ban for Pogba.

The incident occurred in August, after a match against Udinese. It was reported by the Italian National Anti-Doping Tribunal that Pogba had tested positive for enhanced levels of testosterone. Although he received a suspension at the time, the severity of the ban is about to increase substantially.

While the exact duration of the ban has not yet been disclosed, reports reveal that The Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office recently concluded the trial process for the doping case of Paul Pogba. As a result, the anti-doping prosecutor is currently pursuing a 4-year ban for the 30-year-old.

If this request is granted, Juventus will be forced to forfeit their star midfielder’s services for the next four years. At this juncture, Pogba’s only recourse is to prove that he unknowingly ingested the substance in question or to negotiate with the anti-doping prosecutors.

Either way, he faces an uphill battle as he strives to navigate his way through this challenging predicament. The potential ban is a significant blow for both Pogba and Juventus. As one of the team’s key players, Paul Pogba’s absence would leave a noticeable void in the squad. However, it appears that the team is already prepared for this scenario and actively seeking a replacement.
