Earlier, despite scoring a hattrick, the PSG superstar was slammed by his own manager, Luis Enrique. Now again, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is facing scrutiny from a soccer pundit who has shed light on his vulnerabilities.

Earlier, in PSG’s Ligue 1 fixture against Reims, the Frenchman managed to score a hat-trick as his side won 0-3. After the match, coach Luis Enrique didn’t comment on the player’s hat trick and wasn’t happy with his performance. The Spaniard even urged him to deliver more on the pitch and improve further.

Interestingly, his criticism got support from ESPN’s Gabriele Marcotti. He commented, “It’s funny. I don’t know what these numbers mean and who produced this but it’s just funny because Mbappe of course scored a hattrick at the weekend during the win over Reims. But he got an absolute slaughtering from Luis Enrique by Luis Enrique’s standards.”

Marcotti also acknowledged how Enrique was critical of Kylian Mbappe and had provoked the French international to contribute more. He concluded, “I think this goes back to the old thing about Mbappe off the ball. Does he press? Does he do this work? I think it’s also not coincidental that he’s a free agent at the end of the season right?”

Clearly, Mbappe’s shortcomings were quite openly revealed by the renowned soccer pundit as he backed Enrique’s criticism. Be that as it may, it is quite an interesting claim. Sadly, the period of backlash doesn’t end here for Mbappe, as he seems to have lost his own dressing room. How and when did that happen?
