With the summer transfer window approaching, the primary question is the future of Lionel Messi. Messi is in the last few months of his PSG contract. No one yet knows what the next step of the Argentine will be. Whether he remains at PSG or joins FC Barcelona or any other club remains to be seen. The fans are closely following all the rumors, and Messi’s recent tattoo has raised the eyebrows of many. 

It has encouraged many Barcelona fans as they feel it’s a sign of Messi giving a nod to the transfer. The new tattoo was seen recently in a video that emerged from his Saudi Arabia tour, which caused controversy. The Parisians sanctioned Messi for traveling to the Gulf country without any permission. They suspended him for the next two weeks. More than suspension, his brand new tattoo is making rounds.

Messi recently traveled to Saudi Arabia, which caused an uproar with the PSG hierarchy. The World Cup winner is a brand ambassador of Saudi Tourism and visited the country as a part of his personal promotion. Meanwhile, a video of Messi enjoying time with his family surprised many. The main attraction of the video was the tattoo of the former Barcelona man.

The tattoo shows the number 10, a soccer ball, the Argentina shield, and that of FC Barcelona. It marks all the noteworthy things in his glorious soccer journey so far. Many interpreted it as a nod to a move to FC Barcelona. However, it is a planned tattoo, and the artist made it in parts. Messi planned it a few weeks ago, with Barcelona’s shield added recently.

Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, is trying his best to bring Messi back for the last dance. It won’t be a straightforward task, though. It will take enormous efforts from the club on the FFP regulations front to bring the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to Barcelona. Only time will tell whether the Catalan giant succeeds in their attempts. 

FC Barcelona offers a minimum base salary to Messi

Barcelona is working on various formulae to sign Lionel Messi. The reports say Blaugrana has offered $213,400 yearly wages. It is the minimum amount a club can offer a player in La Liga. However, it will rise up to $200 million with part of merchandise sales presented to the player.  

Another proposal includes the basic wages with $100 million from the farewell game for the Argentine. The salary offer looks too less compared to the reported offer from Saudi Arabia. It will be interesting for a few months with the future of Messi hanging in the air.
