Forget the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo has the whole wide world in his hands. He is arguably one of the most influential athletes in recent times and can be compared to Michael Jordan or Muhammad Ali. Most of it narrows down to his gameplay and celebrations. With various celebrations at his disposal, witnessing Ronaldo performing the famous ‘Siu’, remains a treat. The celebration took over the world and spread like wildfire, and fans could see other athletes mimicking the soccer player.

As he approached the finish line to complete his race, Brian did a ‘Siuu’ after finishing the 35km walk in second place. Spain’s Alvaro Martin won the race. As he fell on his knees, wilting in excitement, it was Brian who stole the limelight. He performed the much-acclaimed celebration to the delight of fans in attendance.

Recently, the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner became the first individual to have 600 million followers on Instagram. That’s approximately the entire population of the United States of America. In addition to the iconic Siu, he indulges in several other celebrations, such as the calm-down celebration he displayed during his Real Madrid tenure. The Siu first came into existence in 2013 during a pre-season friendly against Chelsea. He explained what the celebration means in a past interview.
