Amid Public Feud, a Letter of Eviction From Gerard Pique’s Father Dealt the ‘Final Blow’ to Shakira and Her Family

Amid the public spat between popular Latin pop singer and songwriter Shakira and her former partner, Gerard Pique, a letter of eviction from Pique’s father has been reported to add an unwelcome layer to an already complicated situation.

It was only last June that the couple announced their split after being together for 11 years. Problems first started when reports of Pique’s infidelity began to surface. Then their disagreements soon escalated into a messy custody battle for their two sons.

To make matters worse, Shakira then released her infamous diss track on the Barcelona star. Just when the saga seemed to be taking a calmer turn with Shakira’s moving away from Barcelona, further reports have escalated things to the point of yet more controversy.

Gerard Pique’s “final blow” to Shakira

It is known that Shakira for a long time has been planning to move away from her and Pique’s house in Barcelona. Unfortunately, she had been delaying it due to her parent’s health issues. Her father William Mebarak Chadid suffered head trauma from a major fall. Just months later her mother, Nidia Ripoll Torrado. also faced a huge medical emergency as she had to be hospitalized due to a blood clot in her leg.

At the start of April, Shakira finally moved away from Barcelona to Miami with her two sons. However, it has been reported that the move was made much sooner than planned. This is due to an eviction letter sent by Pique’s father, Joan Pique. The eviction letter is being called Pique’s “final blow” to Shakira by Spanish media.

As further reported by Chance from Europa Press, a collection of medical instruments was seen in the emptied house, presumably belonging to Shakira’s parents. “William Mebarak Chadid and Nidia del Carmen Ripoll Torrado are no longer in Spain, so they could be by their daughter’s side in this new beginning of life,” Chance said.

One cannot help but ponder and reflect on the nature of their split. Unfortunately, it looks like the spat between them has now reached a point beyond redemption. As it stands, Shakira and her family remain worse off because of the eviction letter.
