Amid Multi-Million Offers From Saudi Arabia, Qatar Orders PSG to Renew Lionel Messi as He Nears Free Agency

With just months remaining of his contract, rumors suggest even his boyhood club Barcelona is in the race to sign him up. With the player entering his twilight years in his career, many clubs are interested in signing the legendary player. 

If he accepts the Saudi offer, that would make him the highest-paid soccer player in the world, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese sensation signed for Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United to make him one of the top earners in the world. He receives $210 million and is lighting up the Saudi Pro League. Hence, having Messi in the league would be essential for the brand of the league as a whole.
